For high-end, chic shopping take a stroll around this complex and window-shop or purchase some of the world’s most incredible merchandise.

The Ginza Six shopping center provides what you’d expect, and possibly more, from its 241 stores and restaurants on Tokyo’s fashionable Ginza Street. The G Six, as it’s also known, sprawls over a block in the central part of the city. Architect Yoshio Taniguchi included in the design corner sections of the building to stand out from the street and the rest of the structure for the location of luxury brand stores. Notice such names as Valentino, Fendi, Dior, Saint Laurent and others.

Opened in 2017, Ginza Six has much more than shopping, although the retail choices are well worth the visit. It’s also a place to admire art and relax at a serene rooftop garden. Japanese artists have incorporated their works into the building, including a living green wall by Patrick Blanc.

Within the 13 floors of retail and office space is the massive Ginza Tsutaya Books, with a diverse selection of art books and magazines. Enjoy a coffee or cold drink to increase your pleasure while browsing and selecting.

Handbags and leather products tempt consumers at such stores as Delvaux and Loewe, while current women’s clothing fashions are tantalizingly presented at Sixième Ginza.

Plan on having epicurean dishes at a number of eating establishments such as Ironbark Grill & Bar, which is renowned for its premium grilled Australian beef the Grand Ginza with its sprawling views from the top floor or the Ginza Grand Premium Food Hall specializing in Japanese cuisine of all types.

Step into the intimate Mixology Salon on the top floor and select from an interesting assortment of tea-based cocktails.

A theater is also located in the building for shows featuring traditional Noh performances.

Ginza Six stores provide tourists with a tax refund on purchases. Find tourist information at Terminal Ginza on the first floor, which also has a souvenir shop, duty-free counter and currency exchange. Ginza Six is located in Tokyo’s well-established shopping district in the city’s central area.
