"The property was great. We arrived early and was able to check in and get into our room prior to arrival. The room was great, just wish they had microwaves inside the unit. But there was a microwave a short walk away. Overall, we enjoyed the property and the views were amazing. We enjoyed watching the dolphins in the morning, and the ocean view was amazing. I’m glad we stayed here, and we will be back again. "

"The hotel and beach are so nice! Snorkeling on the left side of the beach along the coast was the best we experienced on the big island or Kauai. My only regret is that we stayed and snorkeled here first and so my expectations were set extremely high. Nothing compared! A must stay. "

"We stayed here about 10 years ago and it has certainly aged over that time without not many updates. They were a little reluctant to let us use the pool on checkout day which we thought was weird given that our flight left at 9:00 pm. Other than that it was roomy and had what we needed at a decent price."

"Loved the house and always love staying at the Hali Kai. The only thing that was not so great is taking trash to dumpster last night there were tons of rats running around the top and inside when we opened the lid. Not great! "

"The rains definitely started to fall two days into our 3 day visit to Hilo and we desired to move from our relatively off-grid Hipcamp (which we loved!) into an actual hotel room with amenities. Dolphin Bay has been a bucket list hotel for me and sure enough, I checked Hotels.com to see if they had a room on the fly and they did! and one with a kitchen...PERFECT!
