"We had a great stay, everything we needed for our stay including some welcome essentials (beer, wine, milk, butter, etc.) in a very well equipped kitchen(s)...plenty of parking. Great bedrooms and lots of spacious social space. Good communication throughout. Would happily stay again if we hold another group get together."

"Excellent cottage, clean,comfortable and homely, many people would be upset because of lack of phone signal or internet but made it for me real peace and quiet, Excellent kitchen is well equipped with pots pans,cutlery, drink making facilities, and the views from the cottage are outstanding. "

"My partner and I have just returned from this beautiful cottage - it has everything you could possibly need and is in an idyllic spot, close to many walks and with a pub only 2 minutes walk away (there was also a 20% off voucher for this pub waiting for us in the cottage). The cottage was very clean and contained all the amenities you could want or need, with a fully loaded kitchen and 2 modern bathrooms. There is a front and back garden, beautifully tended and fully enclosed, so safe for pets....

"It was okay just a few constructive comments, 1 no toilet paper in Brothers toilet, 2 Coffee, Sugar, Tea tins need refilling 3 , Window Sills could have done with a clean apart from these items all was ok and the Host was very pleasant"

"I you want to be out and about every day in beautiful scenery and then have an awesome base to relax then look no further. Stunning views out of every window and 2 large secure paddocks that you can let your 4 legged friend enjoy with no fear of them getting out. The hardest thing is convincing the dog to come inside and join you in the evening."

"We frequently stay in holiday properties and so know what you can get for £140 / night and sadly this was not up to the standards we would expect. The cottage is lovely, in a lovely sertting but it is very damp with mould around the windows and mildew on the curtains. It was not clean, the tiles in the bathroom were mouldy, under the furniture were dead woodlouse and other remnants of insects, cobwebs everywhere and the lavatory off the main bedroom was very poorly cleaned. "A lovely private get away if you need to unwind and relax this is the place , cosy and warm , bed comfy and outdoor space amazing with hotub and garden area . My only compliant is lack of storage for own food but guess it is a sherpards hut , we will return it's just what we needed after a busy Christmas"

"Close to the M6 The Moat House makes for a lovely staging post. Restaurant specialises in steaks. It’s stylish and popular with locals so booking is important. The hotel is an upgraded historical lodge and has stylish decor throughout. The room was spacious and comfortable. My only mild disappointment was the breakfast was a bit small. Overall strongly recommended."

Busy but quiet

"Busy hotel but extremely quiet room. Usually you hear the corridor door slam every time someone passes through, or their footsteps on the floor. The room we had was silent! We couldn’t hear people or cars at all. We had the Superior King room and it was so lovely and spacious. The breakfast was great too!"
