"Had a really lovely night in a beautiful room. Used the pool, which was small but absolutely charming- a real treat as I was the only one in there. Hotel is beautiful, but very comfortable with lovely open fires. Dinner very expensive we thought for a country hotel. Staff all excellent. "

"My friend and I stayed with you 2 years ago. The staff are always very helpful and friendly. The hotel is clean. We had a twin room with lovely bedding and very comfortable beds, although the neds did squeak when getting on and off of them. It would be useful to have another hook in the shower room to hang the wet towels. One is fine for one towel, but not two. Breakfast was good, especially the sourdough bread."

Other reviews mentioned noise from the bar above. We accidentally booked on a Tuesday night in January when that bar is shut and had no issues with noise. They offered to look after our bags when we checked out which was nice too. "
