Easy parking (although a little expensive) very nice breakfast included, roof top saunas and nice pool indoor, hot tub outside, beautiful in winter! (Extra charge for use of spa area, and for robe/towela..)Nice restaurant, very good food, vegetarian options. Happy hour weekdays and Sunday. Excellent co-working area! One of my favorites with Valo. The only downsides; very small sink in bathroom, and bathroom tiny as well. Room nice and ok in size. Comfy bed. Coffee maker in room. No fridge in my room. Conveniemt to reach by car, but not much around in walking area.

Nice hotel, the wellness area can be improved
The hotel is 20 min by bus from the city center, but well connected to the center and to the airport. The hotel is pretty new and in very good shape. The room was small but had a smart design and was very comfy and cozy. Ok+ breakfast buffet. I was a bit disappointed by the wellness area, which was the main reason I chose this hotel. The atmosphere was not very cozy, I went there in the evening and there were a lot of tipsy people drinking by the pool, and in general it didn’t give me a cozy and relaxing feeling.

Room was modernly designed, but the room and toilet is tiny, no laundry service. The front desk lady said i can find a laundry place from a shopping mall 3 km, not sure if she’s joking or not. You have to pay €20 extra for the wellness area, food there was overpriced, sauna and pool are overcrowded

VALO was very clean and tidy, but wouldn’t recommend it for someone on vacation. The Comfort sized room was VERY small, and the bathroom was laughable. Definitely too small for three adults plus luggage. The whole place has a super hipster vibe, but unfortunately that makes the check in process a little difficult. The kiosks they have for check in/out are not user friendly, but neither is the staff. They were a little rude. At first I thought, maybe that’s just the way Finnish people come across, but while exploring Helsinki I realized that no, that’s just how the staff at the VALO is. When my wife asked for information about a particular massage, the staff member at reception responded, “well I don’t know because I’ve never had one.” That shouldn’t matter, as the staff member should at least have a basic knowledge of what services are offered at their property. Also, it’s a bit of a trek to any of the touristy things. I will say, the breakfast is awesome. A little bit of something for everyone. And the yogurt bar is the best breakfast offering we’ve seen in a hotel breakfast. Overall, wasn’t the worst place we’ve stayed, but definitely not the best.
