"A very mixed review. The service at the restaurant was very good and personalized. We ate there for dinner and the food was very god. Desserts were good also. The breakfast, included in the room price, was very good- you could order hot food. But, the room was just OK. THere seemed to be part of the construction unfinished- ig just unfinished plywood on teh floor of the balcony. It was a nice wooden interior- no frills but adequate. The room was reasonably clean. But the toilet did not flush...

Do a tasting if you can. Excellent food with unusual pairings of their sweet wines. Great base for exploring Tokaj and the Zemplen hills, although true exploration would probably require a car. 10 min by taxi into Tokaj. We had a nice tasting at a winery in Tokaj, but honestly we were happiest just sitting on the terrace at Degenfeld trying the different dry and sweet wines they produce and walking through the vinyards."
