"Stayed overnight on NYD. Ellie on check in was nice and friendly parking permit was given and check Inn was allowed at 130pm which was great as it was raining all day. Room was ok basic but clean nice comfy bed. We ate in the restaurant and it was ok nothing special. Breakfast was lovely friendly staff choice was plentiful just no poached eggs or fried due to kitchen issues."

"Pricey, but really convenient location, a comfortable bed, great shower in our ensuite bathroom and decent breakfast. Staff really welcoming too. Enjoyed our brief (one night) stay."

"Very nice homely country pub with good food and Local brewery (Nook), excellent views and easy reach of Holmfirth (we did get a taxi for the nearly 2 miles / 10 mins journey). Will definitely be staying again when we visit the Picturedrome again."

"Reasonable. Normally i would have said excellent but one or two things were not upto there usual standard . There was music noise from downstairs until late and the room i had was v dark but was attractive ( 13) . The food was ok but mine lacked vegetables and the fishcakes were dry."

"Friendly, cosy with character. Attention to detail with decor. Wonderful food, great atmosphere, we will return again. Fully recommended. We were using a gift token for the wine tasting in the village thus the reason for the stop over due to the location. Hotel staff very friendly and welcoming. Look forward to visiting again when we have more time to explore the area. "

"The property is full of character but that shows in the facilities. An update to the bedroom and bathroom is required The meals are good and plentiful You step back in time by staying there "

"Lovely..nice & modern apartment..well cleaned but had only 2 tiny heaters on the wall. It was a square type. Thes 1 in the living room and 1 in the the bedroom..with not alot of heat coming out..there was a waste. There was a wooden burning stove but the wood supplied didnt last long & then it was £5 for another bag..alternatively the wood could be purchased at a store in the village but it was very windy & wet to go out"
