"What a fabulous place and just a couple of miles out of Windermere. The Inn has a great atmosphere and the speciality ales are just what you need after along day of hiking. The rooms are great, superclean and very comfortable. To top it all, the cooked breakfasts in the morning were both hearty and delicious. Thr staff were also super helpful too. This was the first time we have stayed here but will definitely come again. Would highly recommend, especially perfect for dog owners. "

"The staff were all excellent and attractive. The room was comfortable. The spa-bath in our en-suit was a lithe noisy but fun. We enjoyed a swim in the pool, not huge, but not busy. The only negative was breakfast was not very hot but otherwise the restaurant dinner was lovely, and we thoroughly enjoyed our weekend. Great location for exploring the south lakes and Furness peninsula. "
