The house was fantastic; we really enjoyed staying here. It was great to light a fire and play card games in the living room while it was freezing cold and snowing outside. The view was awesome. We had a little trouble finding the place in the dark, with signs covered in snow. Maps sent us a couple houses down, but it was a fantastic place to stay.

We absolutely loved our week at Mor Carraig! We came to Scotland on holiday and this was the perfect home base for our adventures. The view was so lovely from the conservatory. We spent a lot of time in there, playing card games, sharing meals. The property managers were a pleasure to communicate with. The kitchen was well appointed. We would happily return anytime. Make sure to check out the trails just up the road. Dores Beach was stunning and would be a great spot for having lunch al fresco.

Beautiful period detached cottage in a peaceful location off the beaten trail. Warm and cosy, but spacious, with an open fire in the wood panelled living room. Beautiful 😍

We loved our stay at Mor Carraig! Wonderful period house with bags of character. The view of Loch Ness from the sun room is unmatched. Very prompt and friendly responses from the manager when we needed him. Would definitely stay again.

So homely, easy to relax here and whatever the weather there is always plenty to do. Walks are easy to access from the door, dolphins up the road, castles, waterfalls, fossil beach on the Black Isle and always reading or games in the conservatory. Inverness itself is so convenient but you feel as if you’re fully in the countryside. Our second holiday here and hopefully not our last.

We had the perfect family Highland holiday in Mor Carraig with our young son (1yo) and his grandparents (70s). The property is as described and the photos do not do the viewing justice. The owner was quick to respond to queries we had during the holiday. We are already trying to plan when we can return for another holiday there!

Great spot, secluded nice and warm welcoming. Could have been cleaner although beds were fine. Downstairs shower leaked a lot so needs fixing and is in progress, property manager helpful . Would stay again

The house is set in a private but not secluded position with excellent views over loch Ness towards the mountains. The conservatory might get a bit cold, it was the middle of winter after all, but the main house is cosy and warm with plenty of fuel for the open fire if you care to use it. The kitchen is well appointed and the utility room set out so washing cloths is easy. All in all, an excellent place to stay and recharge. Both the owner and property manager were easy to reach for the few issues that came up and things went very smoothly.

It is such a shame that the owner had no pride in this property. It is a lovely place in an unrivalled position. Sadly when we arrived the place was dirty, the curtain in the bedroom was hanging off the rail, the bedding is old and lumpy. These are all thing easily put right if you have the desire to do so.

Communication was very poor and there was no attention by anyone upon arrival or departure . The house was not very clean, many dishes had to be washed again, there was dust accumulated in many areas

We spent 3 weeks at Mor Carraig over Christmas. The location is unbeatable. There were a couple of issues with the property that perhaps could be attended to and it would then be perfect!! There is only one full bathroom, the 2nd bathroom is just a shower cubicle with a toilet off the kitchen and cannot reasonably be classified as a 2nd bathroom and consequently all occupants need to share the one upstairs bathroom which in turn is problematic. The bedrooms are cozy but the beds in the two upstairs rooms are small doubles and my Husband is over 6 feet and we struggled to get a good nights rest. Just for maintenance the main oven door does not close properly and the oven on the right is not working or I couldn't figure out how to operate :)
