"We stayed in the Gypsy truck, I liked the novelty of it. It was cute and quirky. The host was super helpful, and talked us through the features on arrival. Surprisingly, the shower was excellent. Doesn't appear that way on first impression, however perfect temperature, and lots of pressure. One suggestion would be a step or the like, if you are short, to get up into the loft bed. We even saw baby ducks that were extremely friendly and came right up to us"

"We really enjoyed the upstairs living of the property. It was modern, beautifully presented and spotless. The huge kitchen area was great. The lift was fantastic if you had a wheelchair which most places don’t cater for. We weren’t expecting to stay in a converted garage however as it didn’t mention that anywhere on the booking. "Host greeted me upon arrival and showed me around the cottage. Clean, quaint, many extra perks! Lavender gardens are superior. Kiakoura is a wildlife lovers dream! So much to see and do; or not, and just relax. This charming town has it all."

"We think wacky stays with the farm animals is a great concept, especially for children. If choosing again, we would not take the yurt. The mouldy smell was overwhelming - didn't think it was due to the animal hair construction - I have done a lot of rough 3rd world (and 3rd class) travelling and this was not that smell. "We absolutely loved our stay here. Was so quiet, so many wild birds flying around us and the view was amazing. We highly recommend this superb, unique property and we will come back longer next time. Make sure you book ahead for dinner at Hapuku Kitchen to the Friday Supper Club. It was the best time ever."

"Wonderful different place to stay. Small compact and impeccable. Comprehensive personalised checkin, comfortable bed and great little toilet. Very well appointed and loved the breakfast options in the the truck which included fresh bread, free range eggs, delicious jam, cereals milk tea and coffee. "On the website I thought it was a Tee Pee in a farm paddock. But there are multiple accommodations on the farm so not as private as I thought! The Tee Pee was old & mouldy. The single beds were not suitable for adults. Too short. Even one bed base had mould on it. I lifted up my pillow to find a spider underneath. While styled with cowboy Indian theme it could of been done so much better. Rather tacky & tired. The bathroom was our life saver. It was lovely and only a few meters from the Tee Pee....

"A fantastic wee spot just moments outside Kaikoura. The wagon is truely sensational to stay in with incredible views over Mt Fyffe. We really enjoyed feeding the animals with our 23 month old son."

"Pointless having a TV when there is no channels? when the property is too far from any walking areas of interest, it would be nice to at least have one channel available at night when you have a child in bed. The window sills in bedroom were so dusty i sneezed all night. I emailed the owner prior to entry but he never responded. Overall it was nice to have my dog in an enclosed area but way too expensive for the worth"

"4 Adults and 1 child. Only a quick stop over to go whale watching the next morning (very convenient). The host was lovely. The cottage was rustic but comfortable and cosy. We will need to try and come back and enjoy the activities on offer. Recommend +++"
