"The Littlebeck Warren is a hidden gem and when next in the area on business I will always come back here. Joanne and Kevin are outstanding hosts, the rooms are comfortable, stylish and homely. It is just beautiful! We had our evening meal there as well as breakfast and the food was delicious and home cooked. I would highly recommend staying here you won’t be disappointed We will be back! "We love this place. Have been there 3 times with our dogs. Walking them is so easy there is a large green area just outside or a walkway around the estate, just what you need early morning and bedtime. The staff are great they are professional courteous and friendly. Emma the manageress is a joy and works really hard to make sure you enjoy your stay. The chef also needs a shout also, the meals are top class. "

"I stayed in found floor room. Looked tired and is need of decorating. Shower was adequate-plenty of hot water but not very powerful. Windows needed cleaning. Room on whole was clean although stain on duvet cover. Bed comfy. Not staff at hotel so you had to phone through to another hotel for assistance. No food available and a list of take away places for breakfast. "

"Lovely stay celebrating my partners birthday, The place and grounds are stunning, We arrived and had a complementary room upgrade which was very appreciated room was gorgeous! We headed to the spa which had plenty of options there in, we enjoyed a drift away massage which was lovely, we ate in both the grill and the lakeview restaurant both were superb, breakfast was also plenty of options and delicious, Liam who served us was brilliant at his job, Akils cocktails are superb! They brought out a cake and sang to my partner which was a nice touch what we didnt expect,We also did archery with Kevin who was fantastic and good company, we were also given free passes to the wildlife park just a stonesthrow from the property which was amazing, the staff rrally do go above and beyond to make your stay perfect we cant wait to go back again "

"I can't speak too highly of this hotel. The staff couldn't do too much for us, they were courteous and polite at all times. The quality and choice of food was second to none, for the lake District, it was extremely competitively priced....we will be back, soon, for another break. "

"Loved staying here, the staff are lovely and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. Room was cold on arrival but we were given an extra heater that did the trick in no time 👍. Nothing would put us off staying here again. Would definitely recommend staying here, we will stay again. Beautiful "

"The hotel is in a quiet rural area out of town. It would be beneficial if you have a car, but there is a good bus service and the bus stop is across the road from the hotel. When we were there the hotel was being renovated but we never found this a problem and everyone was very helpful, lovely staff."

Great service

"I was planning on camping a couple of nights near Keswick, weather not looking good for a late arrival so decided to stay at Derwentwater Hotel... so glad I did! - At check in I was greeted in a really professional manner, in the bar the staff were super friendly! That was my opening night. Breakfast in the morning was fantastic, set me up fuel wise for my planned ascent of Skiddaw (walking past a farm I camped at 47 years ago on my first Scout Camp!!) My hike up Skiddaw, descending to Keswick and then back to hotel was great (nothing to do with hotel of course) BUT on return all staff I spoke to were interested in my day, to the extent that I was chatting to the hotel manager for over an hour!!!! This level of customer service and interest is rare and is really valued by me! Thank you to all at the Derwentwater Hotel for making my stay so enjoyable. If you want a pristine, brand new hotel - well, pay the price for it - but if you want great service, an amazing breakfast and the perfect location head to Portinscale!!"
