"The house is beautiful, quiet, and comfortable. The hosts are lovely, and they went out of their way to help with transportation and convenience without being at all intrusive. He went out of his way to give us a ride when we were walking to the local pub for dinner in a heavy rain, which was much appreciated. They found the perfect niche between letting us find our way on our own and making life a little easier. "

"The night we endured was terrible, it smelt of faeces all night, loads of people coming in and out shouting, it sounded like someone tried getting in our door around midnight, the shower was contaminated, I wouldn’t be surprised if there wasn’t a case of legionella within the water, the bed was very uncomfortable and didn’t feel secure, the sink had no plug, and Unknown marks left on walls, 1/10 would not recommend "

"We wanted to find a pub with good food and close to Rutland waters to go biking. We stayed at the Fox and Hounds in Exton for 2 nights. It is situated next to a beautiful grassy square of big, mature trees. Big, safe parking area. The pub area is gorgeous, lovely big fireplaces, variety of seating. "A unique place to stay that really ticked the boxes - I stayed as part of a group and each of us enjoyed the experience, the birds, meerkats, tortoises & reptiles adding to an amazing stay! The bird show (included in price) was good and the staff extremely knowledgeable - the self contained rooms were very clean & comfortable and having a kitchenette with fridge/toaster etc was perfect, the en-suite shower room was large & again very clean - highly recommend a stay here!"
