"For the price paid, and the convenience for a one night stay before getting the ferry in Oban, I really couldn’t complain. Yes the place is very tired, very old fashioned and due some major refurbishment, but my room was clean, spacious and warm. I had read the reviews in advance and knew what to expect. I received a warm welcome when checking in, and all the staff I spoke with were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a little limited, but had all the essentials, and was hot and plentiful....

"Have stayed in this hotel several times and am never disappointed. The hotel is in an excellent location and is always very clean. I also appreciate how close it is for walking into the town. I would like to mention that the staff were once again very friendly and welcoming, and nothing was too much trouble.
