"My husband and I and our 2 friends stayed at Hotel Okura Niigata In April 2025 - 2 rooms facing the river. Rooms were spacious, clean, bright with comfortable beds and linens. The hotel & restaurant service is beyond outstanding - despite the restaurant being closed (that served Cherries Jubilee ), the hosts graciously opened the restaurant for us and their chef prepared a spectacular Cherries Jubilee dessert for the 4 of us ! The Breakfast buffet was outstanding. A wonderful assortment of hot dishes including eggs, omelets, Japanese offerings, Cappucino's , salmon, fresh fruits, croissants and salads. Taxi service was readily available. The hotel is in an excellent location downtown with easy access to see sights and restaurants. Would definitely stay again when we return to Japan"

"Excellent location. Right next to train station and bus station. Staff very helpful in forwarding luggage. Breakfast was fine with plenty of seating. Water dispenser provided. There is a direct exit to the shopping mall and train station. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Don Quixote just right across the street with a bridge so you do not have to cross the roads even. Clean and comfortable. "

"Easy access - 5 minute walk to the train station, 15-20 min walk to the Senso-ji temple. Clean and all toiletries you might want. Breakfast pretty good, with great views of the city"

"Close to rail station. There's no street level crosswalk across Higashi-odori. If you walk up from the rail station, on the southwest side of the street and try to cross at the hotel you have the option to use the over-the-street walkway over the street (which is awkward if you have heavy rolling luggage!) So cross two blocks before the hotel."
