"Beautiful property in a quiet but convenient area. Lovely spacious rooms, which were impeccable. Real bonus to have the heated swimming pool in November. Staff were very gracious and accommodating. A few improvements to suggest: maybe some hotel and area information in the rooms would be good; the ‘international TV channels’ advertised aren’t accessible (not an issue for us, but some people may be expecting these); reorganisation of the breakfast area - it’s a stunning setting but quite chaotic...

"We stayed in the Magnolia suite. It was very large and comfortable for two people. There was a large bed, but also a pullout couch. This gave my daughter and I the opportunity to sleep separately which was great. The bathroom was also spacious and very clean. The staff was very helpful and friendly with our needs. "I booked this hotel as I thought it was close to all the sights of Lyon. In hindsight, I should have stayed closer to the old town. Having said that, most sites are around 30-40 minutes walk away or can be reached by tram or metro. The hotel itself is nice, albeit a bit rustic. When I arrived to my room, it was hideously hot. The air con wasn’t working, despite being ‘on’. I told the hotel staff and they offered for me to switch rooms if it didn’t work. I thought this was nice of them but...

"We had just finished a river cruise and needed a hotel for 2 nights before flying home. We arrived around noon and were able to check in early. The location makes for easy walk to get around the old city of Lyon. So much to see and do in the area. Our double classic room (queen bed) was perfect for our needs. Hallways could use some updating. The 8th floor bar has spectular city/river night time views but is “tres” pricey. "
