"Check-in at Hotel Garbi-Melli was quick and easy, with the option to check in online—a great idea. I was given my room key and pointed to the lift, very straightforward. The staff were very friendly. I’d rate this as a good 3-star hotel, not great, and definitely not a 4-star. The gym was disappointing, with only three cardio machines, but there are gyms nearby. "We loved our stay at Grand Hyatt Barcelona! Beginning from the wonderful welcome at front desk from Clara, and continuing to the lovely breakfast and spa facilities, we couldn’t have chosen a better location for our short city break. Our hotel room had lovely mod cons making our stay comfortable and the area was accessible being relatively close to the airport (20 mins) and easily accessible to tourist sites by taxi, metro and bus. The cleanliness of this hotel is to be noted. All requests we had were swiftly resolved and the staff should really be applauded - from the door men to the waiters and waitresses in the restaurants and the cleaners - everyone was courteous and helpful. Thank you for a wonderful stay! "

"The Hotel Lamaro is an absolute gem! It is on a large pedestrian square, directly opposite the Barcelona Cathedral which we had a view of from the room’s balcony. The entire place is immaculate and our room was spacious and well set up. Although some of the furnishings (such as upholstered chairs in the halls need to be replaced), the rest of the hotel was recently and tastefully redone. We had breakfast as part of our room rate and the buffet was fabulous. There is a rooftop bar/restaurant with a view of the cathedral which was wonderful. But the best part about the hotel was the staff: truly exceptional!! Friendly, helpful, professional. If you’re looking for a place to stay in the Gothic Quarter, you can’t miss with the Hotel Lamaro!"
