When i walked into my first room it had a old musty smell to the room, I went to the restroom and there was a cockroach then the bed was dirty. Informed the front desk was very apologetic and said she had no more rooms so we asked for new sheets when we get back from dinner. When we return from dinner the front desk said she got us a new room. The new room had a less of the smell sheets were clean but the ceiling paint was coming off and had old wet stains.

The hotel has a terrible musty smell that is hard to ignore and needs some serious updates. The door locks were not working properly and we had to go to the front desk multiple time to have them reprogram the key so we could get back in our room. I noticed other guests having the same issue. The staff however was very nice and polite and the beds were comfortable. I gave 4 stars for cleanliness because I believe our rooms were clean, they just seemed extremely dingy because of the smell and the age of the carpet and flooring.

The room was way to small for what we paid for it, you could hardly move around 2 adults and a stroller. TV kept cutting in and out. the toilet in the bathroom is so short for older people it can be hard to get up. The people next to our room were talking so load at 12am in the morning we just checked out. Not sure that I would stay there again.

I moved there from a holiday inn because it was closer to the writer’s conference I attended. A suite was half the price! Plus they offered free breakfast. The other facility did not. The staff were kind. Their slogan was you leave feeling like it’s family, and it really did have that feel to it. It’s a nice, tucked away spot. However, the coffee machine in my room didn’t work properly. That was the only bummer. Otherwise, fantastic. Highly recommend this hotel.

Bathroom was stained and dingy. Could tell they painted the walls in the room and just painted over dirt and mold. On the plus side, the staff was very nice and pleasant. Unfortunately, I will not stay in another Microtel.

Extended my stay here to five nights due to hurricane Milton. Very nice excellent staff. they were prepared to handle the situation when power went out. They were at cohesive group and I would agree with their sign outside that says “come as a guest and leave as family because they do make you feel at home.
