"Chiado 44 is a nice property and very well located near many shops, restaurants and local landmarks. The staff here goes above and beyond to ensure you have a pleasant stay. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is the lack of an elevator (we were staying on the 5th floor!) Fortunately staff were more than accommodating and did take our luggage to our room. "The booking was confirmed on a 2nd floor, i got a 3rd floor, all switches dirty actually black, bed horrible mattress, there was a alarm ringing at 04 am on first night, and toilet cleaning very bad specially in the shower. Mean time I have lung emphysema and I complain about the floor as confirmation was to a 2nd floor they said that wasn’t for us chose the floor even if of the booking wouldn’t show that you were going to stay on a 3rd. So yes mainly was very bad "
