"Room was clean, staff were friendly, food was decent. My supply of coffee was topped up with extra sachets when the staff saw that I'd bought my own jar of coffee after I ran out. The atmosphere of the hotel is pleasant and cosy. The hotel is a short walk from the town centre, which makes it cheaper than more central places - but if you can't stand a five-minute walk, what are you doing in Betws-y-Coed? :)"

The room was very clean and had good storage. The addition of a drying line in the bathroom is a super idea. We loved the styling of decor in reception and the bar/restaurant and enjoyed the Snowdon Lager on draught. We look forward to visiting again. "

"We stayed for 4 nights at the Black Lion. The room was spacious and comfortable. If you wanted every day cleaning, then you would probably have to ask. For us, we found that ok. It is a very busy place and popular. The bed was comfortable. The shower is in the bath, which for me was a bit awkward, as I am in my 80s. The food was really good, breakfast and evening meals really tasty and filling. The hosts and all the staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Absolutely recommended. "
