"a quaint old house in lovely grounds. the room we very well kept as was most of the hotel and grounds. the only slight worry was a pungent smell in the corridor between the bar and the rooms which was quite unpleasant. this was only in the ground floor corridor though, not obvious upstairs or in the room or the main hotel. Serve was friendly and efficient. "

"This owner should be ashamed. We booked as it had free parking. The owner text in advance to share our number plate so he could register, which we did. We then also did it in person with him on arrival. We have then had 4 months of charges, months of letters and calls from a debt recovery company and told we would be sent to court if we didn’t pay the £170. He told me he cancelled it 2 months ago, but is refusing to take any calls, won’t reply to any texts and we’ve been forced to spend £170 on...

"Celtic Manor is great for a getaway and we had a good trip. It seems to have slightly lost its excellence, but probably not helped by the room we were given (which was quickly changed) not having a view at all and being so dark. The Signature Room we had was looking quite dated and showed marks in the carpet and was quite worn but extremely comfortable, The bathroom was excellent. Dinner in The Grill was excellent and breakfast at Steak on Six was great, the staff there really were outstanding....
