This hotel is connected to terminal 5 at Heathrow. We spent 2 nights in order to visit some friends before traveling back home. The hotel is clean with large beautiful rooms. Breakfast is expensive so we walked to Terminal 5 and had a continental breakfast at the coffee place inside. It was nice watching planes take off and sipping coffee with our rolls and fruit. One night spontaneously jumped on the underground which is in the Terminal and made our way into London. Easy and convenient. Our only hiccup was getting an Uber to our friends. The Hotel has a gate control where every has to take a ticket. We did not know that the Hotel has to validate the ticket in order for the driver to not have to pay. It took extra time to get it figured out. We knew better the next time and warned the driver on the app.

Several things in our room didn’t work (tv, desk light & magnifying mirror in bathroom). Dirty/marked mirrors & could have done with an update/refurb for those things. We were staying right by the service door/elevator/area & the fire door was propped open all night so it was also noisy.

Very dated feeling. Very long Q to check in - need more check in staff to deal with volume. TV in bathroom broken, very limited channel selection on main bedroom TV, no ability to connect to streaming platforms, no plugs near bed, shower pulsed hot & cold. Definitely not 5 star.

I stayed at the Sofitel because of its location in Heathrow. It was super convenient. The room felt a little worn. But, for what I needed it worked great. There was a fitness room, which was also something on my list. The other issue there was it is basically located in the parking garage, and while running on the treadmill - you smell exhaust. Staff were all helpful. It was a comfortable room with the amenities you would want. I would stay again.

This place was GREAT once I found my way there. The signage at the airport was all but invisible. Thank goodness for the kindness of the folks who are willing to interrupt their work at the airport to act as guides!
