When I booked the hotel, photos of the pool and rooftop were included in the photos and descriptions of my reservation, the two nights I was at the hotel the pool was closed, the staff at the reception had no idea about the hours of the services. events and they always provided me with misinformation

A big value by the virtual front desk; would like to have essentials (shower curtain, iron in room) esp when the stay is over a couple days; a hand-held shower addition? All said, my stay was pleasant due to the staff's thoughtful focus on service. Thank you!

DO NOT BOOK - This place is either a front for some illegal data harvesting op or is ran by people SO incompetent that seem ok running insanely invasive “verifications” to stay with them, requiring you to fulfill a *background check* and they reserve the right to keep your information (which includes tour picture and that of your ID, as well as addresses and dates of travel) for UP TO THREE YEARS even if you just need an overnight stay, and if you refuse they will not allow you to check in and also will not refund your reservation. This is incredibly irresponsible and Expedia shouldn't allow hotels to require PII to be uploaded to 3rd party servers as that creates a gigantic liability for the consumer.

The room was absolutely gorgeous and incredible value, so I would absolutely return, but the sort of self-service approach makes the hotel seem like a bit of a ghost town compared to the Ace Hotel glory days. Pool area was usually without towels and could use a bit of love and I couldn’t find a functioning hair dryer even though two were provided by staff. Overall I’m cool with it but if you’re looking for luxurious service and amenities this might not be the best option!

The property itself was super nice and pretty. We had a nice view and most places were walkable. Parking was a little hard to find, but was able to park at the Broadway apartments across the street, it's a closed parking lot as opposed to the ones next to the hotel. Our tv stopped working and they were very attentive to fixing it.
