Needed to provide breakfast time , night before and also what our menu choices were night before . Minimal choice for breakfast but excellent all the same . "I've visited the property multiple times and the staff are always wonderfully helpful and friendly. The rooms are always clean, tidy and comfortable. It's in a great location, very walkable and directly opposite the museum gardens and very close to central York but off the main road enought that there is no noise when trying to sleep (bar some late night arrivals with lead feet that only disturbed for about 30mins night 1). "Slightly complicated check in process with nobody on site and having to call a mobile number. However, once I was in everything was very clear. My room was up 2 very steep sets of stairs. It was compact but clean, with a small ensuite. The shower pressure was very weak unfortunately, but otherwise the room was excellent value for money. "We stayed for 3 nights for a Christmas shopping trip, the hotel is in a perfect location very close to York Minster and with lovely bars and restaurants on the doorstep. We were met with a very warm welcome, our room was small but had everything we needed and was spotlessly clean. I would highly recommend this lovely boutique Guest House"
