When we got there I thought I had booked with breakfast but lady in reception said I hadn’t. The way she spoke to us and her tone was unwelcome. ‘Well do you want breakfast or not?’ ‘You don’t have to have it’ We wanted it and paid for it. She then assigned us a tiny room. It was busy at breakfast for a Sunday am but was full of foot ball supported going on the Inited game. The two coffee machines had a continuous queue. For the price there are better in the area for sure..

We stayed at the Leonardo Manchester Picadilly last year and enjoyed our stay so decided to book the Manchester Central hotel this year for our stay. Unfortunately we didnt feel the standards were matched. The central heating was not working in the room we had for our first night. We were told no other rooms were available so were given an electrical heater in place. The heater did absolutely nothing so our room was freezing the whole night. We spoke to the hotel the following morning to see what could be done as we booked for 2 nights and couldnt stay in that room another night. Carolyn on reception was extemely helpful and managed to move us to another room. Unfortunately though the shower was not working properly in this room and the bathroom was dirty. We spent most of our time out of the hotel so we couldnt be bothered to ask to move again but we definitely will not be staying at the hotel again. Helpful staff but the hotel is definitely not to standard.

The lady who checked us in was amazing and the rest of the staff really helpful and friendly. Room temperature was cool even when we adjusted the thermomstat. Breakfast great and good location.

An okay stay, but there was hardly any space between the edge of the double bed and the window, so it was just a little squashed. Breakfast okay but because of the layout people were getting in each others’ way so had to have your wits about you!

Checked in ok. No bottled water etc in our room, which should be as standard. Bathroom was tired, poor paintwork and sink blocked so took an age to drain away. Room too hot. Breakfast provision was poor with limited choice, as was the service as too many tables hadn’t been cleared so hard to find one to sit at. Checkout was for 11am but we had cleaner trying to get into room at 10am whilst still there. On check out, when handing over room key not even asked if we enjoyed our stay. Thought some staff both rude and ignorant. Not impressed at all, so thankfully only stopped for one night en route to another better hotel who actually show interest in their customers.
