"Such lovely, helpful staff. The surroundings were very comfortable, the food was first class. It’s evident it really is ‘Team Tontine’ with everyone working well together. The service in the restaurant was of a high standard, the tables are nicely spaced and the standard of cleanliness was exemplary. We were aware that dogs were catered for and those we encountered during our stay were very well behaved! "

"The staff really make this property, nothing was too much trouble for them. Our room was very comfortable. The food was great. The swimming pool was generally quiet and the steam room was a wonderful temperature. We had a fabulous couple of nights here but it was so relaxing it felt like longer. Don’t forget to check out the Gin School too. The town of Peebles is within easy walking distance and there are lots of interesting places to visit in the surrounding area if you have a car"

"Lovely common areas and rooms. Staff were attentive and everything was clean. The room was big and spacious facing a back alley. You could hear the people in other rooms but that’s to be expected. Overall a great stay!"

"The room I was in looked recently decorated certainly not in need of a makeover like last year. However what makes this such a great place to stay is definitely the staff. They are friendly and efficient, the restaurant staff especially appeared to enjoy their work and happily engaged in banter with the diners alongside doing their job well"
