"We were a group of 7 adults and had a nice weekend stay. The house was clean and well furnished and the outdoor area is great. When I contacted the host with questions a few days before our stay they got back to me quickly. The only negatives were: a few of the items they said were included in the listing were actually not (firewood, paper towel, no hand soap in the kitchen); the bathroom in the primary bedroom has a jetted tub but only a handheld attachment for showers (it is not mounted) which...

"What a pleasant place for a large family to gather to enjoy time together. From the peaceful setting to breakfasts around the kitchen table to afternoons by the amazing pool, this property has it all. Located close to lots of great activities, this is a great place for a home base while you explore Lake Michigan, antique shopping, great restaurants, wineries, and more. Highly recommended!"

"We couldn't have enjoyed our stay at the Northstar Lodge more! Very clean, cozy, and charming. Perfect central location to visit our family at NMU and explore all that the area has to offer. "Stayed over a long weekend in Frankenmuth rather than staying in the waterpark hotels. Having a kitchen and backyard firepit to work with is so much nicer than being in hotel rooms. We took the kids to the waterparks during the day, then had a home to go back to for dinner and the evenings. Location was great, lots bedrooms/beds to work with, everything was clean upon arrival. Just be aware it is an old farmhouse out in the country, so well water and limited speed wifi are in the mix. ...

"Our group of 5 women (all 65+) had a great time. The pool was awesome, and the owner keeps it up nicely. The pool stairs and handrail are just what our group needed. Our host responded freaky fast when we had our one snafu (lighting the grill) so we had no problems at all. That being said, this is probably better suited for a young family due to a few smaller sized rooms and the stairs. We definitely appreciated having the privacy and the kitchen is well stocked, even for this picky group."

"Wonderful home with a communicative host. We had an issue with there being no hot water, but the host was on the spot correcting the issue. The property is a little further away from Interlochen Center for the Arts than I would have liked, but it’s still only a 7-minute drive (just not walkable). The home is well-maintained, great for folks or couples because all bedrooms have separate bathrooms. "
