When we had a small problem with the air conditioning in one room, the host was very helpful and responsive."

"What a wonderful stay we had in La Cala de Mijas. The home was just as beautiful as in the pictures...and larger than I thought. We had wonderful dinners and mornings at the outside patio. The pool was wonderful for those hot afternoons during siesta. Loved the town and all its ammenities...beach only a 10-12 minute walk away. "Great location for a stay in La Cala. The apartment is excellent and the garden/patio area is brilliant for relaxing in and gets the sun all day. The communal pool is great for a cooling swim and there is a fantastic restaurant on the door step. Yvonne and Marco the hosts are very helpful and communication with them is quick and easy. Would highly recommend a stay here."

"My family and I have returned today from this villa. We had a wonderful time. The pool was gorgeous and we never saw another soul even though it is a shared pool. Really really recommend a car. Quite a distance to walk anywhere but some very nice bars and restaurants nearby. We would return without hesitation"

"We have just returned from a week’s stay at Riviera del sol. The apartment is as described- it’s fantastic. Very clean and everything you need is at hand. It’s a really peaceful, chilled out area. Lovely gardens and very well kept. Location wise you definitely need a car. Riviera is lovely but there is not a lot going on. 3 or 4 decent restaurants and a handful of bars but it’s very residential. If you want peace and quiet it’s perfect. "We enjoyed our stay but what spoilt it was the extra charges not listed when we originally booked. This was for cleaning €102 and linen € 80 plus extra insurance. The air con upstairs did not work for 5 days and the younger members of our party had to sleep on the sofa as it was too hot upstairs. The cleaning of the place before hand wasn’t very good. The above points did not put us off from enjoying our stay."

"We had a fantastic time staying in the centre of La Cala, close to everywhere, beach, bars, restaurants and pool. We intended to strip the beds and tidy the lounge area before we left, sorry, but we had a text to say our flight was cancelled, which stressed me. We booked our taxi earlier to get to the airport to find out what was going on and ended up having to get flights with another company to another destination Leeds instead of Liverpool at a later time! We will be back again next year...

"I was not happy that this huge resort that was almost empty ( low season of November / floods) and yet I was assigned a room that had a door separating it from the next one ( junior suite) occupied by family with little kids. Annoyed little with noise. I would have complained but noise stopped around 9:00 PM which was bearable. The staff were very friendly. "

"We had a two bedroom apartment, very spacious, reasonably well appointed, only shortfall was they didn’t have a spatula for the kitchen. Beds were very comfortable. Plaza lounge was ok, had entertainment three nights a week, but it doesn’t change much, at least while we were there, so after first week , mehh."
