"This place was straight out of the 1970's, you even fill out a Guest Registration CARD, yes, that's right, an actual card that you write on with a pen. I haven't done that in tbe US for over 30 years. :) This place is super retro, a blast from the past, the staff was super friendly and the bed was comfy, the place could have been cleaner but it was okay. If you want to experience an old school motel, this is the place. :)"

"Just the perfect getaway. The staff was exceptional. Our dinner at the restaurant was delicious and service was above expectations. The only reason I gave the grounds a 4 was it was only 5 weeks after the hurricane and they were doing some remodeling but I lay no blame on the resort. The road to the resort was under repair but they are doing a great job of cleaning up and getting back to business. I highly recommend. "

"The ONLY complaint I would have and was a surprise to us was that you unload your car and then park your vehicle back down the hill and then have to take a shuttle back to your car. "We have stayed in lots of B&Bs, but this lodge is the most beautiful we have ever seen. It is hard to describe how amazing it is and everything was just perfect. We loved staying here. The manager, Bobbie, was just so wonderful and we enjoyed talking with her, and her recommendations for places to visit were great. We felt at home here, and would very highly recommend staying here.
