We love the historic look of the Balsam mountain Inn, we learned that it changed ownership a few years back and the new owners are looking to preserve the classic look that appeals to everyone so much. "This is probably one of the cleanest hotels I have ever stayed in. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The pool was exceptionally clean and I think salt water rather than primarily chemical. Breakfast was adequate with a choice of foods, both cold and hot.
