"Where to begin!? Schwarzsee Hotel is amazing for skiers who travel across the continents with the mentality to enjoy the outdoors. This hotel is very convenient as it is a ski-in-and-out hotel. With the most amazing views of the Matterhorn and part of the Swiss Alps just out your window. The gondola is one minute walk and to embark further up in the mountains and all the way to Cervinia ski resort which lands in Italy!! The staff at the hotel are polite and helpful, the food is beyond delicious....

"Overall fantastic - views are second to none. The hiking around the area is unreal and it’s great to be there before the first train and tourists descend. Dinner was amazing and servers were extremely attentive. Only feedback is that for the price they could have proper coffee machines in the room! Small thing but in other cheaper hotels there were real coffee machines whereas this was cheap sachets… with nothing else around it would be nice to have a proper coffee. Everything else was amazing...

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the adonis Hotel. We were upgraded to what we thought was the best room in the hotel as it had a balcony and a view of the Matterhorn. You need to be in good health though as there are no cars allowed and the streets are quite hilly. But the cable car access to the mountains was quite close and made for an amazing and unforgettable experience.the breakfast was quite plain but sufficient and the staff were extremely helpful."

"Hotel Firefly was one of the most perfect hotels my wife and I have ever stayed in, truly! Upon arrival the front desk walked us around the property showing us the complimentary spa area which we used each day to warm up in the evenings. Our bags were in our room when we arrived and the room even had a small kitchen so we could make a couple meals which was nice since we were almost two weeks into our vacation upon arrival. "5 star is not enough…they should get a 10!!! From the staff to the hotel…excellent service & super friendly! Breakfast in the morning was outstanding. I would highly recommend!!! When I come back to Zermatt I will definitely stay there. Location of the hotel is perfect!!! Can’t say enough good things!!!"

"I can’t say enough great things about this hotel. The location is perfect. Close to everything in town and only a 10 minute walk to the Matterhorn gondola. The staff is amazing. They are very helpful and kind. The hotel is immaculate. The fireplace in the lobby is super cozy and provides a great spot for a cocktail before dinner. The breakfast was delicious and very plentiful. Our room was very comfortable and had a perfect view of the Matterhorn. "

"The Hotel was to say the least exceptional. It was approximately 15 minutes from the train and an breath taking walk for views as they were phenomenal. It was later in the day on arrival. We had some clothes to be cleaned. We had checked in, they recommended the restaurant below on site. "Travelling from the US with 10 year old daughter for skiing in late december. The Matterhorn view was incredible. Friendly and helpful staff. They helped pick the right lifts and runs based on skill level. Very convenient ski room for gear. Very good breakfast with lots of options. The pool was nice as well. Between the two main lifts. Overall 10/10, but i wish they would take amex. We took a taxi to the lifts because the walk is maybe 7 minutes in boots and we aren't used to that yet,...

"Thé whole Zermatt is an amazing place and also the hotel was very easy to find , as everything in there locates very near, Great place, quiet, nice breakfast. My room was a bit small and low , also a bit hot, but no worries at all. Very nice service and the place seemed to be much cheaper than the rest"

"We had an incredible stay at the hotel. I've stayed at top hotels in the world and this boutique one compares in quality, service, attention to detail and amenities. The spa and gym area were beautiful (you should add photos to the site!). Service was impeccable, thank you to Simon who was so helpful. Easy to get to ski shuttle and walk to everything. Very clean and the breakfast and afternoon snacks were great. I'd stay here again if ever back in Zermatt. "

"The rooms were comfy (though without individually controlled heating they can get a tad stuffy…. You can open the window by an interesting mechanism that I had to confirm with the staff), and the bathrooms were very nice and spacious for a European ski lodge. Free breakfast was great. One decisive feature that made me choose this hotel was its partially outdoor heated pool. Hot tub après ski is one of my big likes, and their pool, although not heated to jacuzzi temperatures, is still plenty warm for enjoying an outdoor soak in snowy weather. Big sauna and steam room also in the spa. The whole spa closes early, so you can’t really use it for after dinner relaxation, but can treat yourself to a nice après ski indulgence after a day on the slopes."

"We had an amazing stay at Hotel Täscherhof where we received an unexpected upgrade to a deluxe suite which included breakfast. The staff were friendly especially Maria who made us feel very welcome and also looked after us in the restaurant which we also recommend. "

Nice alpine hotel

"Really nice and cozy alpine style hotel. Perfect location within a 3-min walk from the train station, ski bus, Gornergrat train, and the main street with all the shops and ski rental. Good breakfast selection, enough of healthy choices. Really enjoyed the sauna and hamam facilities, too."
