"Highly suggest bamboo backpackers. Tex, Mary and all of the staff are exceptionally hospitable and friendly, room was very clean. Make sure you go to Kava time and enjoy the kava! And take the fijian cooking class, Excellent spot to stay! Also, please don't touch my papayas."

Smugglers Cove Beach Resort and Hotel

"This was a perfect spot to spend a 15-hr layover with two young children (ages 2 and 7)! It was an affordable taxi ride to/from the airport-- $25 USD. We arrived early in the morning (8am) and were welcomed warmly and given a place to store our bags until check-in at 2pm. We ordered breakfast, sat on the beach, used the pool, and relaxed until our room was ready. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. There is a delicious market and Korean restaurant within walking distance in addition to the on-site dining options. Staff called our taxi for us when it was time to head back to the airport. Not super fancy, but clean, comfortable, and accommodating the whole time we were there. We will certainly consider staying again in the future for long layovers in Fiji! "

"Lovely property that was ideal for a pre-cruise stay for a couple of days before our cruise. Very convenient and not too far away from our port. Enjoyed the pools and on site restaurants. Staff was always very happy and in a good mood along with being accommodating and helping with any issue. Would recommend to other fellow travelers."

"This was a fantastic place to stay! Great staff who were helpful, friendly, keen to assist in any way they could. The restaurants were all fantastic - I recommend heading to to the ground floor as there are plenty of options. A good bonus was the in room washer/dryer with washing powder included."
