"We totally enjoyed our down time at this perfect get away property. The yurt is relaxing, clean and very cute. The wrap around porch is perfect with a cup of coffee in the morning listening to the birds or enjoying an evening in front of the fire ring. This is our 3rd time staying and enjoying Carson’s retreat. He is quick to respond and very helpful. "

"walking distance to local marina and across the street to Nantahala weddings. Inside is renovated and clean, nice for family and includes amenities for cooking, etc. Outside needs renovation (metal roof was threatening to blow off in high winds storm). Fire pit area is nice with covered gathering area. "

"The house was great - very comfortable but very isolated. It was a treacherous walk down to the lake - we thought it would be closer but the path down there was not well maintained at all. I was too scared to actually get to the dock. The ramp to the dock was very steep and on some very big tires -that I guess support the dock. We thought there was a covered porch to sit out and have our breakfast watching the beautiful lake - unfortunately it was raining so we could not sit outside without getting wet. The road to the property was unpaved and not marked very well so we didn't venture out much. We walked around and there are some beautiful homes nearby but we didnt see anyone for days. There is one restaurant about 15 mins away but it was closed due to Hurricane Helene. The home was perfect. Dealing with the property company - not so much. We were isolated and if something bad had happened I dont think anyone would have found us. I much prefer dealing with a property owner - All in all - it was a nice very quiet trip "

"We loved this place. This large mountain house that overlooks a gorgeous lake is wonderful. The lake is low this time of year but it still didn’t deter the beauty of the lake surrounded by mountains. We loved everything about this house. The game room was great to hang out and play games on the pool table and foosball. We used the pontoon boat to ride around and just enjoy the surroundings. Highly recommend. It does cost extra but I feel it’s worth it. Just be prepared for a lot of steps in the house and outside but it is on a side of a mountain and the house is massive so we felt we got our exercise in. lol. The owner Greg and caretaker were very nice and always answered our questions in a timely matter. Thanks again for a wonderful stay. "

"This was not a good place to stay. The power went out frequently and for many hours at a time. When asking neighbors about their power, they stated this happens frequently. When the power goes out, there is no water to the house, so we were unable to cook, shower or get drinking water. The house was nice, but there were bug problems and multiple spider webs in the house. I can't blame this on the listing, as air conditioning is not listed, but the house was very hot and the loss of power disabling the fans made it nearly unbearable. We reached out to the property manager about the loss of power, but no one ever got back to us. The listing states Lake front, but the lake is not visible and is at least 300 yards away across multiple roads. I thought lake front meant at least lake view and accessible. The cabin is spacious and well equipped. The frequent loss of power, lack of communication and inaccessibility to the lake were the main problems."
