"Good for family (2 adults, 4 kids). Good location, 30 minute walk or 10-15 minute bus ride to the city centre. Clean apartment, some initial struggle with the front door key ‘technique’ but the video was helpful, could’ve done with a few more kitchen utensils / oven trays for self catering. Overall good, would stay again. "

"The cottage was lovely and full of character. Warm and cosy, very comfortable. Lovely enclosed little garden, perfect for the dogs. Maia was a great host, provided lots of useful information about the surrounding area and great suggestions on places to visit. Kept in regular contact and quick to answer any questions. I really enjoyed my stay and wouldn’t hesitate to return "

"Lovely warm house in a beautiful setting. Could do with a bit of updating. For example, the toaster didn’t work and the beds and pillows were quite lumpy. On the whole though, we had a wonderful time and would go back."

"The Garden Cottage is such a fantastic spot. My family was traveling to Scotland for a wedding and needed a nearby accommodation with minimal stairs for the 92 yr old grandmother. The Garden Cottage seemed to be a good choice until we walked in the door and WOW, it exceeded all expectations. Not only were there few stairs and 3 bedrooms, the cottage included a lovely kitchen with a large table, a sitting room, a tv room and a fantastic garden with opportunities to spot a big rabbit or two. ...

"Location excellent. And, photos accurately show current condition. The manager/owner and I have had a constructive dialogue which I hope will improve his property, specifically, buying new mattresses (as the current ones are soft and sinking), adding hangers to the wardrobe, adding hooks for damp towels to hang, and, fixing the leak from the bathroom that resulted in damp conditions in the larger of the two bedrooms. Manager/owner was responsive to my concerns and cooperative. "

"Lovely old stone cottage with everything you need to be comfortable away from home. Clear instructions, cozy living space and Henrietta is absolutely delightful and very responsive. The estate is beautiful to walk on, very peaceful, rural setting, but super easy to get into Edinburgh on the train. Delicious local restaurants."

Only comment is there are is no fan in the bathroom and no lotion provided, quality of toiletry provided is however very good. Overall very pleasant experience."
