Highgate Independent hotels in North Haledon, New Jersey

"The room was very clean. We had a king bed. The rooms are quite small and designed to accommodate one or two adults sharing a bed. We made it work with two adults and an infant without major issues, but no doubt it was tight. No room for pack and play or crib, if you have small kids. All manageable, and this is the type of hotel where you aren’t going to spend a lot of time in the room. Staff were absolutely awesome. Extremely courteous and patient. One person even walked with my mother in law to a nearby drug store. The continental/buffet breakfast was acceptable but nothing special. Plenty of other options for food in the area but the hotel breakfast was a good option to quickly eat before heading out. Location was near enough to Times Square, which comes with the standard pros and cons in terms of access to transportation, noise, safety, etc. The area generally felt safe and no one bothered us. All-in-all for the price this is a great option for a clean place to stay with no frills, and very helpful staff. Would stay there again. "

"Of course it was wonderful stay, I stayed here 2nd time now in July 2025 and earlier stay was in June 2023 Excellent ambience, although I will say rooms are little bit conjugated but definitely manageable, good rooms and cleanliness happens daily this is what I found both times when I stayed almost 5 nights. Very near to TimeSquare, best breakfast for go and grab at bond 45"

"Staff are amazing and helpful, room was updated and clean. Perfect for Manhattan, small rooms but expected and all you need. Service was great and lots of perks in the building (cafe, rooftop bar, restaurant, TVs with chromecast in each room). Many elevators, never had to wait. Would highly recommend!"
