"Nice hotel in a prime location, near to subway line, walking distance to Gion district. Lots of shopping and restaurants around. Hotel is nice, main areas and public bath area very clean, beds not the most comfortable but otherwise great place for the price. "

"The location is in a residential area but walkable to nearby Imperial palace. Taxis are always available.The dining options are fine but more toward the higher price. We came during winter month so a little chilly during our walks. The hotel has good amenities in the room, replenish water, tea and coffee. There is a nearby 7-11 if you crave for snacks. Staff is polite, communicate well in English. I wish that the hotel had a spa or onsen."

"We love this hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful, room and lobby are look new/clean and smell very fresh. Located just next to Marutamachi subway line (Hotel main door is only metre away from Exit 6 of subway!), it is so easy to connect to anywhere in Kyoto. The Kyoto National Garden is only 10 mins walk from the hotel, many restaurants and convenient stores around the hotel. "

"The room had a cool, unique layout with ample storage under the bed. Still has enough room for one suitcase to be opened, with the vanity and mini fridge. Toilet and shower were separate, nice facilities especially the bidet of course. Location is decent enough, not too far of a walk to the shopping streets and has plenty of transport options close by. Staff were super helpful and pleasant, helped us with booking the luggage courier to our next destination. Definitely recommend this place for...

"This hotel was in the perfect location, close to shops and the vibrant Nishiki Market, which was a highlight of my visit to Kyoto. The location is excellent, as it’s also not far from the city’s famous temple attractions. It made exploring Kyoto so convenient and enjoyable. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the area!"

"The hotel offered a free shuttle to the Golden Temple and bamboo forest. We loved both, but if you have only one day in Kyoto, skip both and go to the 1000 Tori Gates at Fushimi Inari instead. The room was comfortable but small, as most hotel rooms in Japan are. Note that the hotel is about a 30-minute walk from the centre area. "

"In the immediate vicinity there were very few options for lunch though a few more places were open for dinner. It was very close to the subway and also about a 10-15 minute walk to other neighborhoods full of restaurants and bars. It was actually nice to be away from the crowds, but might be a bit out of the way for other travellers who don't like to walk as much. "
