"We had a great stay here - convenient for the town centre, excellent staff and a great spa."

"I stayed here one night and it was perfectly nice, a bit of a maze and a small bathroom, but that's pretty standard for old buildings. The room was comfy and the location was convenient, and it was a very good price (especially in the off season). It's got some quirks, though. Like I said, it had a small bathroom and shower with nowhere to put your toiletries in the shower, so I had to put them on the ground, which was a bit tricky in the narrow stall. "All was good except the tv remote. The batteries were held in with duct tape, which did nothing as you had to hold them in if you wanted the remote to work, hardly 4 star. Apart from that we both enjoyed our stay."

"The drive up to the hotel is beautiful with a grand entrance. Check in was perfect. The main dining and lounge areas are very relaxing and welcoming with helpful staff. The rooms are a little tired and extremely warm which made it a little uncomfortable but didnt ruin the trip. Breakfast was really good with a great selection. We also dined in the lounge and, whilst not a great selection, what we had was delicious. Overall, it was a great two night stay and great value too."
