Excellent service from everyone I encountered - Lady on reception at check-in was polite, helpful and showed me to my room and explained the room functions etc Bar service for food and drinks in the evening was also excellent and I used the gym which was really good too.. I loved the restaurant for evening meal and breakfast. Staff all friendly and helpful. Only criticism is the rear car park. Both myself and my son who arrived separately found lack of signs meaning unsure where to park and entrance to reception

Beautiful hotel in a picturesque location
We had an overnight stay at The Haycock on our way north. We chose this hotel as it was conveniently located just off the A1 in a small picturesque village. The hotel has been beautifully restored to a high standard and the attention to detail in the decor and service during our stay made for a very comfortable visit. Our meals were delicious and we loved that there were a variety of areas you could eat around the hotel including the beautiful gardens. We will definitely stay again.
