"Room clean and fresh but very small, also in the eves with bare brick so to get round the bed meant hitting head and scrapping skin on bricks. Also bit of a pain for my Husband up two flights of stairs (he has COPD) my fault should ask for ground floor if no lift."

"Great stay. Beautiful old coaching inn in lovely village just off the South Downs Way. Really nice meal, probably best fish and chips and mushy peas I’ve ever had, lovely treacle tart, all with great service from the lovely Victoria. Very comfortable bed. Can’t fault it. Highly recommend, especially if doing the South Downs Way."

"Loved it here. Room paintwork a little tired but not the end of the world. Need to put a towel down to block draught through door. Nice touch supplying fresh milk in a mini fridge. Teas,coffees tasty. I would definitely stay again. Book direct with them next time as it's cheaper"
