"Late arrival and early out but was still welcomed by Alice the owner. Breakfast was offered and even provided at an earlier time than normally given, for which I was very grateful. A great cooked breakfast kicked off my morning and soon I was on my way. This was a perfect location to break up a long North to South journey. Very pleasant indeed. Sad that I missed out on what looked like a super Chinese dining experience for an evening meal! And just a few mins of the A1M"

"We have stayed here before it’s a small but lovely hotel, I would recommend it to friends and family. Nice firm beds which suit me well. The food is lovely in the bar/restaurant, the staff are lovely and attentive. Only problem was we were told when my husband phone in advance that all rooms have walk in showers but our room is shower over the bath which I am unable to use due to my disability that means I can only wash in the sink 😣"

"Great location to the event venue. The train station is 10 minute walk, it’s ok even with a heavy suitcase. Very close to restaurants, shops etc. The bar is lovely, my only complaint is the Sunday Roast not available after 5pm, this was not advertised resulting in many disappointed people after a busy day at the event.
