"The hotel is a very impressive and imposing building, the staff are lovely and the food is exceptional. The way the old jail has been converted to a hotel is really quite amazing. All the fixtures and fittings are of a very high standard. We loved the room and the fact that it had previously been 3 prison cells! It’s also in a good position for exploring Cornwall. "

"Absolutely love this place. We have stayed here a few times as we love it..Becky welcomed us on reception she is lovely.We stayed in our favourite room 39. Food is gorgeous we definitely recommend the ribs. We slept really well in the 7ft bed. Breakfast was delicious and lots of it. Will be back again soon to stay again. "

"Great place to stay, food good, comfý bed and the staff are all extremely helpful. I wouldn't stay anywhere else when going to that part of Cornwall. My only negative comment is the indoor pool was cold and it has a outdoor jacuzzi which is cold too, they have just had this refurbished so maybe management will be improving the problem. They provide a shuttle bus to Polzeath and Rock, from Rock you can get the little ferry across to Padstow. The area is quite and relaxing with a few restsurants...
