It is in a lovely area and the staff are great. Breakfast was very good: a larger dining group meal one evening not so much. Our room and it’s facilities were really good, somewhat let down by very tired furniture, poor finishing (eg round the bath) and silly little things like no soap dish or anywhere else suitable to rest wet soap round the (impractical designer) sink in the en suite. Lack of properly hot water when we wanted a bath was a disappointment.

Very uncomfortable mattress. On complaint immediately moved to an upgraded room. Receptionist was lovely and very efficient. Had a seafood linguini in restaurant which was very bland. Breakfast was good.

Loved the original parts of the house. Disliked the noise from the wedding party when they were leaving, but loved the fact the ballroom was not audible from the room. Disliked that the best price was through 3rd party, not direct.

Lovely location and an attractive hotel. Easy drive to Lytham, St Annes, Blackpool, Preston and Kirkham and easy access to the motorway. Quiet rooms, reasonably priced restaurant and good parking.

I attended a wedding which was for 1pm I rang to ask if it was possible to get into our room at 12 Noon to change and was tolled not possible. Or asked if there was somewhere to change after driving quite a distance and was told there was only the toilet, which I was not happy about. When there is a wedding on you would think they would be more amiable when guest are arriving for a wedding

Lovely hotel
We loved our stay here, from ringing beforehand to notify we'd be checking in late pm Janice/Janet was very helpful. When we arrived Night porter was very welcoming and polite, bar has a very cosy feel and was very clean. Room was very clean, had complimentary tea/coffee&biscuits, bed was extremely comfy and room was clean. Bathroom was clean, modern and had complimentary toiletries, only thing I'd recommend is the extractor fan being cleaned, other than that everything else was perfect! Will 100% stay again
