"We like everything at this resort this is our second time staying here. For us everything was a short walking distance from our room to the main lobby area, main bar and preferred club lounge. The staff was amazing and very friendly. I will say if you don't get to the restaurant's early when they open at 6, you will be put on a waiting list and that wait could be anywhere from an hour to an hour and half. Food was ok. "This was Not a 5 star property. Our butler service was practically non existent. The Private pool was so disgusting we never went in. The main pool was so freezing you could not stand to get in. The beach was the most filthy beach I have ever seen. This was the worst vacation ever! I have nothing good to say. I hated my time here and wish we never went. Don’t go here. "

"We overall liked our experience at El Cid. It was great having 3 resorts to walk to and eat at. It didn't seem crowded at all. Staff was great. Downside was our room at the marina smelled very musty. They changed our room and was a little better but still musty. Our friends had an air conditioner that wasn't working so they ended up at one of the other resorts that was newer and didn't have the musty smell. We enjoyed all the restaurants except the seafood one. Was very disappointed in the food...

"The overall stay was great. All staff were wonderful. It’s a little noisy being a destination wedding venue. Weddings daily and receptions on the beach until 11:00. The restaurants are good! Wish they started lunch service at 12:00 and dinner at 6:00pm. "

The suite was incredible, and the property beautifully maintained. Best of all was the staff. Avid, Luis, Santos, Angelo, Jose.... all with such good energy and personality.
