"Loved this quaint cottage tucked away from hustle and bustle. Ideal for our short stay and plenty to do and see close by. Lovely walks for the dog. Town of Ulverston has lots to see and plenty of history. Beach at Roadhead was very quiet amd sunset beautiful. Ideal location to see other parts of the lakes. Travelled by train from Haverthwaite upto Windermere."

Newby Bridge Hotel

3.0 star property
7.8 out of 10, Good, (463)
"This is a great location and the staff are brilliant. The hotel is basic but acceptable. I’d strongly encourage you not to accept Room one in the annex.. tell them when you book that you don’t want it. The floorboards above are ridiculously noisy and the occupant of the room only has to move gently and it sounds like the ceiling is going to fall in on you. Unfortunately, for me, they were early rises and consequently it was a terrible night sleep for me."
