"The rooms are clean and comfortable. The pool is large and well kept. The hot tub is nice to have. They offer a lot for the free complimentary breakfast. Unfortunately when diesel vehicles park outside your window the exhaust fumes come through the heater/air conditioner vent and really smells up the room. I laid towels on the vent as I didn’t use the heater or air conditioner and that helped keep the smell out. It doesn’t happen in all rooms. "

We will stay there again when we are in the area. We really weren't too happy that my credit card was being charged $18.40 more than the invoice that Expedia had e-mailed to me but the last time I checked my card purchases, the original price was deducted instead. "We were visiting family for the holiday, and the farmhouse was perfect! Comfortable, clean, and spacious. Well stocked for our needs, and the owner provided many little extras like snacks for the kids. Great yard and space for taking dog out. Beautiful views of sunrise and plenty of natural light. Communication with the owner was so easy, she was really great to work with. We hope to stay again when we are back in the area! "

The cottage provided a perfect backdrop for creating new memories, with a kitchen suitable for preparing light meals, and three cozy bedrooms that comfortably accommodated our 94-year-old mom and three adult daughters. The beautiful views of Fox Lake from almost every window added a picturesque charm to our stay. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a peaceful retreat with stunning lake views!"

"Beautiful view of the lake. Nice and roomy cottage. Only downfall was no handicap bars in the bathroom and one bathroom had a VERY short toilet. We could have used a luggage rack or two also. Otherwise all amenities wete great! Looking forward to staying there again."

"This was our first time staying at The Shores. This location on Fox Lake is ideal for lake access and local attractions. The Shores Supper Club is an AWESOME dining experience and the Boathouse Pub & Eatery was also excellent. The fishing on Fox Lake is excellent with trophy-sized Northern, Muskie, and Large-Mouth Bass in abundance along with perch, bluegill, and crappie. There is a very nice boat launch with piers across from the cottages and there are many great areas around the lake to fish...
