"We arrive early from the ferry and no one was speaking English in our tower. Rafa was receptionist in tower 1 and was Amazing helping us move in. She explain the deposit issue and the wait for our move in. She found us a guide Lonbam and made our trip excellent. Later on akbar in tower 2 was also helpful and spoke great english"

"The villa was absolutely beautiful (besides some mould on the ceilings, frogs in the swimming pool area that can enter the bathroom and were found in the bathtub every night and monkeys rummaging through our leftovers). It’s walking distance to the beach but we did not swim there due to the strong current and bad weather. "The apartment is huge, with 3 bedrooms, living room and kitchen. Near to Nagoya, batam centre and grand mall. Good for family. "I am having event at Aston hotel. This unit is exactly at Aston but cheaper. So it is convenient for me. Room is comfy, bed is great. Owner or CD is responsive. Only owner didn't provide free room makeup service. You will be charge Rp 200k for room makeup or house keeping. "Food was ok but the appetisers for the western food is not good. We ordered mesclun salad but what we got was a salad with Romaine lettuce, it's supposed to be a mix of different greens, the french onion soup tasted weird, the onions were not soft or caramelized and did not have the cheese on top of the soup. So, should pick a less busy day to do it."

"**Had initially submitted a 3/5 star review for delayed check-in and about the "ocean view" villa not having any view of the ocean. I was quickly contacted by Kaleb from guest relations who assured me that the hotel takes the feedback seriously. They offered various options for service recovery which we gladly accepted.** Overall experience - the hotel is very clean and relatively new, and the amenities are more than sufficient for a short stay. The best part of the experience is the staff - all of them (including those at the two restaurants) were super friendly and always greeted us with smiles and asked if we had any issues and how they could help. Around the area, we had heard before the trip that Plaza Lagoi was a ghost town with vacant shop spaces but it wasn't as bad. There were a couple of restaurants, a Yeah Mart, a Mama-B bakery and a gelato shop, and a massage spa too."

"Absolutely love this resort. I’m definitely coming back. Special mention to Andry. His service has wowed me. His dedication to providing good experience during our entire stay was impeccable. It was a unanimous agreement from everyone in the family that he made a difference to our stay in Batam. The property may be a bit aged but they are making efforts to upgrade the property progressively. The spa was world class. I am a seasoned traveler and the spa here was one of the top. This was my kids’ first time and I have to say I have spoiled them starting them with one of the best spa experience. Simply beautiful. A very memorable trip for my family. Returning to Batam after over 20 years, I was spoiled. Tried three resorts in Batam and this one wins hands down. Next time, I want to try the in-villa bbq. Sean and Michelle"

"Rooms are clean and comfortable. The grounds are well maintained and the surroundings are quite beautiful. There are only two dining choices on weekdays and there many things to do during the day as the city and towns are not close and there are no interesting places to visit nearby. It's great if you want to sit around the pool all day, but not if you want to get out and see things."
