"Stayed with a friend - had a courtyard junior suite. Very comfortable, but the only thing I would suggest is to put reflector strips on the edges of the stairs leading to bedroom. I missed the last step going down as the light switch was at the bottom of the stairs - not good. Other than that, I would definitely stay here again as it is close to everything and many good restaurants within walking distance. "Just had a wonderful stay at The Splendide Royal. Beautiful hotel, room was superb and spotlessly clean and a great location. Staff were all very pleasant. The only downside was when we were checking out we was asked if we wanted to leave a tip for the staff which I felt rather uncomfortable with. I had already left a tip in the room."
