"VERY large (c60 x 12 ft) and clean one bedroom apartment in the stable block. Comfortable bed, instant hot water for powerful shower, well appointed kitchen. Large lounge had two comfortable big setees and a dining table. I think one of the settees converts to a bed. Nice new carpets and very clean overall The grounds are beautiful and provide super views across Rutland Water and the rolling countryside Staff at the hotel were very friendly Dog friendly. "Oldschool no frills hotel. Had the basics and was all we needed for a weekend away. Lacks the modern touch that other hotels have but that is reflected in the price. Very good value for money. Parking on site is a plus. The reception guy was very welcoming and efficient. And the hotels in a good location for a short walk to the centre and theatre. Would definitely recommend for a budget stay. "
