    Godt nyere hotel med pool

    Godt nyere hotel med fin pool og gode store værelser. Der bør dog være en flaske vand første dag samt kogekande, hvilket er standard på mange hoteller. Vi fik dog udleveret kogekande ved henvendelse til receptionen, selvom det ikke er standard på dette hotel. Til morgenmad kunne man bestille frisklavet omelet, spejlæg o.lign., men bortset fra dette var morgenmaden middelmådig. Aftensmad i restaurant er veltillavet, med priser i den lidt dyrere ende i forhold til landet. Hotellet ligger lidt kedeligt, men dog kun 10-15 minutters gang fra Santa Maria, som i øvrigt er meget præget af de mange turister.

    We stayed two nights and the staff was very friendly. Hotel is new at pool bar just opened when we were there. Fine location and very competitive rates compared to the level of hotel. Hotel is clean, fine location, not far from town or beach but what impresses the most is the friendlyness of hotel staff. We did not try their Italian restaurant as there were nice restaurants nearby (Bailey's) but the breakfast at the hotel is very nice and was included in our booking, and for those where it wasn't the rates of 700 Escudos was very attractive we find.

    Lovely stay at the hotel, good location

    We did have a problem at check in, they could not find our reservation so we had to stay in a hotel room for one night rather than the apartment we had paid for. This wasn’t the end of the world but was a bit annoying. We moved for the apartment the next day and this was very nice and big. The pool area is very nice however there is a real lack of sun loungers, there were only around 10 available for everyone in the hotel. Dinner at the hotel was really nice, we were the only people having dinner there which was slight disconcerting but it was very nice nontheless. Check out was easy and the man at reception (I think was a manager) was very helpful and had very good English. The location is good, 2 minute walk to a couple of little food shops (not a lot in them but good for buying water and drinks) and 3 restaurant/cafes. It’s about a 10 minute walk to the Beach which has some lovely bars and restaurants on them. Walking into the town takes around 15 minutes however there isn’t so much in the centre but nice to see! Taxis are readily available and cheap.
