"This apartment is very well presented with everything needed for an enjoyable holiday. The fact that there is a garage available (600m uphill) is a great advantage as parking is at a premium in St Ives. It was lovely to relax looking out to the sea after a day of exploring. Highly recommended. "

"Room view is excellent but room 301 is so hot that I found difficult to fall asleep. It is better if I cant open the window wider and let cool and fresh air into the room to decrease the room tempereture and increase the comfort of residents."

The location of the property is perfect for a beach holiday.Tate St Ives is right on the doorstep and the Barbara Hepworth Museum is a short walk away. Everything St Ives has to offer is a short walk from the house, including fabulous bakeries shops and restaurants. "

"We stopped in St. Ives in 2023 and decided we needed to return and stay long enough to get a real taste for the town and its people. We wanted to be in the "Downalong" area, because of its proximity to the harbour. Orange Roofs' 45 Back Road West popped up in a search and it turned out to be perfect for the two of us, having a king bed room upstairs with bathroom, and a queen bed room downstairs with its own bathroom. It was also perfect for the overnight visits of another couple, and of a niece. Once a fisherman's home, it is built of stone and is part of a four-door row that appears on an 1887 map, but could be much older. As such, it is compact and charming. The kitchen is galley style with modern equipment and it served us well for meals we chose to have at home. The living area is comfortable and cosy with a table and chairs for dining, a couch and a smart TV. The internet is fast and reliable. Using the Orange Roofs app ensured we could make calls. The two or three times we contacted Orange Roofs with questions, we got prompt, courteous and helpful responses. They are easy to deal with. Perhaps the best thing about #45, is its location. A short walk to Porthmeor beach and a shorter walk to the harbour, it is the perfect base. We were in walking range of all the shops, pubs and restaurants (there is even a convenience store within a minute's walk). We loved St. Ives and hope to return. We would also return to #45."

"Beautiful old cottage and very central I’m a bit disabled but still managed the cobblestone lane with a stick and able to access the sea front local pub and really wonderful restaurants There are stairs but sturdy banisters Plenty of room for a fold down wheelchair outside but a push for a scooter Lovely dresser with beautiful ceramics Comfortable beds Plenty of heaters so would be fine for a winter break Kitchen very well equipped bit narrow but added to charm and it is after all a former fisherman’s cottage Only issue I had was the TV none of us could just access iPlayer without spending half an hour trying to navigate the controls most of us are it literate but think I’d have had less trouble docking with the space station than putting The Archers on Was a bit pricey but well worth it as so Corey and even though so central also felt totally away from it all Will definitely return Victoria the host is also so helpful If you do stay then the restaurant at the bottom of the lane, less than half a minute serves the best scallops I’ve ever seen "
