"This hotel was built in 1844 and the spa is on the lowest floor, but it’s comfortable, the pool looks lovely and the jacuzzi is huge. We also liked the steam room, 2 saunas and ice cave with a swirl of cool mist as you walk in. It’s Victorian in feel, lots of tiles but great for what we wanted. Our double standard room with a sea view was spacious and the view spot on. Staff friendly and efficient."

"Good location both for railway station and event venue (luckily climbing the hills should be good for my waistline! Not a criticism, as the hills are unavoidable.). Aside from that, hotel is fine, decent and comfortable - have stayed here before, no doubt will again. "

"Perfectly located atop the cliffs & the view from my room was amazing. I could see the sea from my bed. Friendly & helpful staff. The room was clean & tidy but a little warm for my liking, which was dealt with. The en suite bathroom was spacious & included a bath to soak in after long walks. Water was lovely & hot too. Only downside was a very narrow shelf on the opposite wall to the mirror which was above the sink. I spent 2x nights there & would definitely go back. It's a great base with plenty of street parking for a very small fee via the hotel."

"10/10 - The Plough is an amazing pub/tavern and hotel! Room was plush, cozy and well appointed. Beds and pillows were comfy! Food was yummy, beer was good and people were incredible. Easy to park!"

"Perfect location next to the pub which does fantastic food. Very high end cottage in both style & comfort, very clean too & having a courtyard for the dogs was great as we could sit outside with them. Would definitely stay again. "
